His presentation will examine the long-term impacts of dual language immersion (DLI) by leveraging a district lottery to estimate the causal effects of DLI participation on high school outcomes. Findings from this study show how DLI programs can foster academic success and bilingualism, while also contending with tradeoffs that may limit access to other learning opportunities.
