A Multisite Evaluation of the Implementation and Impact of Supplemental Educational Services
This project seeks to improve student learning and achievement by identifying:
- successful approaches in the organization and management of supplemental educational services programs within school districts and
- effective strategies for the design and delivery of supplemental educational services programs by approved SES providers.
We use a longitudinal mixed-method approach that combines the power of rigorous, nonexperimental analysis of SES net program impacts on student achievement with an in-depth and comprehensive examination of district-level program administration, SES provider instructional practice in different program models and settings, and the nature and quality of tutoring provided in five large, urban school districts.
